General Teaching Assistant (SEN) and Midday Supervisor Assistant
Salary:
GTA £ 24,796.00 + SEN allowance £1,529.00 pro rata
MSA is £24,413 pro rata
Before School Club Assistant £24,976.00 pro rata
Grade:
GTA SEN is Grade CD / SCP 3 (with additional SEN allowance)
MSA is Grade AB / SCP 2
Before School Club Assistant is Grade CD / SCP 3
Contract:
Fixed Term Appointment to 31/08/2026 (There may be an opportunity to extend the term to cover maternity leave).
Hours:
27.25 hrs GTA SEN (08:45 to 15:45 M, T, W, F - Thursday 12:30 to 15:45)
2.25 hours Breakfast Club (08:00am to 08:45 M, T, W, F)
2.5 hours MSA (30 min lunch duty each day)
Weekend Working: N/A
Location: Knaresborough, North Yorkshire
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children, has sound knowledge of EYFS (in particular SEN children);
- Can work well as part of a team;
- Is able to use their initiative and work flexibly;
- Is positive and resilient;
- Is an excellent communicator, able to liaise successfully with children, colleagues and parents and understands the importance of confidentiality.
